The South Georgia Association is pleased to present three talks on Thursday 25 June 2020 using the Zoom online platform. Three speakers will each give a short talk of approximately twenty minutes as follows:

Dr Tom Hart (Oxford University) | Counting the South Sandwich Islands: an interdisciplinary expedition | Dr Tom Hart runs the Penguin Watch project out of Oxford University and conducts research throughout the Scotia Arc on penguin populations and their response to environmental change. |
Crag Jones | President Gorbachev: My Part In His Downfall | Crag Jones has had a long and varied association with South Georgia from single-handed wrestling the Soviet Fishing Fleet into submission to climbing the islands highest peaks. He reveals all. |
SGA Members will be contacted by email to gauge interest and to book a place as there is a limit on numbers who can attend. These will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
