To alleviate lockdown boredom, SGA Chairman David Drewry has written a short story about the sealing vessel Dias.
The vessel, originally named Viola, rests on the Grytviken foreshore now but the Hull Maritime Museum hope to move her back to her Humberside birthplace. the story tells of an episode in her life when she was chartered by the Argentine government to visit the Orcadas base in the South Orkneys in 1932.
